Camp 08

Jordan hosted its second International Training Camp in November 2008 bringing 71 leaders of youth from Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Lesotho, Togo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Sri Lanka and Sudan, all living in varying levels of conflict situations. They were nominated by organisations including the UN, the UNDP, National Olympic Committees, the British Council, other local NGOs and Ministries of Youth, Sport and Education in fifteen countries. Nine Jordanian delegates were invited to participate as Jordan was the hosting country of this camp. Ages ranged from 21-49 with a 41% female participation.
